COVID-19 program update

After careful consideration of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and in accordance with the Province of Ontario non-essential business restrictions, all TOP Sports programs have been suspended until June 30th.

Sports can play a big role in the physical, mental, and emotional development of our kids, and can bring communities together like no other. But from time to time, sports need to take a back seat in favour of the greater good. At TOP Sports we remain committed to offering high-quality sports programs that you have come to know, and are excitedly waiting to get back on the field, in the gyms, and on the ice when it is safe to do.

As expected, the gradual return-to-play in Ontario will include guidelines surrounding the health and safety of all players, coaches, parents, and families in the TOP Sports community. As a team we are working hard on adapting our programs to meet the guidelines set by Public Health Ontario (PHO), and have included a list of measures below that will be in effect when our programs re-open.

COVID-19 Safety Measures

  • Reducing size of practices, camps, and groups to enforce physical distancing between players and between TOP Sports coaches.
  • Mandatory weekly health checks for TOP Sports coaches and staff.
  • Personal protective equipment to be worn by TOP Sports coaches and staff during programs (as recommended by PHO).
  • Sanitation materials and supplies provided at all TOP Sports programs, including hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes for all players, coaches, and staff.
  • Strict no sharing of water bottles, snacks, and food products between players, coaches, or staff.
